Writing In A Topic You Know Nothing About

What Should I Write About?

You might have problems deciding what to write about, finding a niche can be very frustrated and difficult, but don’t worry you’re not the only one. Most of us have experienced this frustration and you probably have seen a variety of articles talking about it; most of them are saying that writing about something you feel comfortable with can be the best you can do. Which I believe is true and of course it will make you feel happy about yourself, but this doesn’t mean that writing in a niche you know nothing about can be very fun. The reality is that we have many people out there writing in a topic they feel comfortable with but unfortunately it is not what they enjoy doing.

Believe it or not, many great bloggers started writing about things that they wanted to know more about. Just like me, when I started this blog I didn’t know much about the subject but the point was that I wanted to learn more, and I’m still learning.
I’m not a professional blogger and I haven’t been writing for so long. As you can see I just created this blog a few days ago and I can tell you that I’m having fun writing of what I am learning.

Now, if you already have a blog and you’re not posting to it very often, what you should focus on is in what topic you want to become familiar with, rather than what you should write about.

Here a few tips that I have learned since I started blogging:

• Before you start posting make sure you have good feelings about what you are going to write about. Don’t just read somebody else’s posts and then start writing similar ones, and if you do that make sure you understand and also make sure they don’t look the same.

• Pay close attention on what you’re reading and take notes even if you don’t read them, that will help remember more.

• You should join a forum; try to find which your topic is because it would help to develop your knowledge. There are hundreds of online communities out there. Many forums have introduction section and signature area where you can advertise you blog.

• Meetup is a website where you can find people of common interests; plan offline meeting in your area.

• If you’re planning on start a blog about blogging tips and tricks, you should buy this book! It’s an excellent book that I recommend you to buy; it’s based on the author’s own experiences. Darren Rowse is the owner of Problogger where you can learn from him (the professional) about blogging techniques and how to increase traffic to your blog.

Even if you are not thinking about creating a blog about blogging, you should look around and you will find powerful tips and tricks to drive traffic to your blog.

Cool Traffic Technique - Link Roundups

"I have a powerful technique that you can use and increase your traffic. It's pretty simple and anyone can take advantage of it".

On my way back I was thinking about this blog on how can I drive more traffic to it, and found a good idea that works pretty good and wanted to share with you guys.

As all you know that blogging is getting more popular in the outside world not mentioning the online world, more and more people are getting curiousity about the word “blog” and as a result we are having more bloggers and followers everyday. Bloggers that have been blogging for many years are looking for new ways to increase traffic to their blogs. In some of my posts I’ve talked about some tips and tricks to increase traffic to your blog, now I found a simple trick that can drive you thousands of views.

As I mentioned in before that well-written content not only can give you a good look to your blog but also can help you attract more visitors and of course help you succeed in this technique.

There are many blogs and even websites that do this on a regular basis. If you’re a good writer and have published accurately content, hopefully your blog will be on their list. It’s just a super and simple technique you need to do. First, go to Google or Yahoo and type in any of the following search words:

“Weekly Link Roundup”
“Daily Link Roundup”
“Monday Link Roundup”
“Tuesday Link Roundup”
“Wednesday Link Roundup”
“Thursday Link Roundup”
“Friday Link Roundup”
“Saturday Link Roundup”
“Sunday Link Roundup”
“Link Roundup”

This will give you a list of blogs that do link roundups; many of them do this in every possible topic. This is an effective technique that I only see a FEW bloggers taking advantage of it. I recommend you to put it in use to increase your page views, it’s a very powerful technique and you shouldn’t let it go.

I promise you that if you follow these simple steps, you will succeed and your page view rankings will go up incredibly.

9 Tips To Increase Traffic To Your Blog

I recently read a book about blogging and realized that increasing traffic to your blog is not only about just reading a about on how to blog and increase traffic to your blog.
It requires more than patience! If you really want to increase traffic to your blog and make a good profit. The first thing you should already know is that if you don’t work hard you won’t achieve what you want.

Since I’ve been blogging I learned the most important principles that most bloggers should already know: Be patient, work hard to achieve your goals, write about what you know and what you love or about what you're interested in learn. I wanted to share some of my experiences to make blogger’s life easier. Here are some tips for you to start working hard in order to increase your blog traffic.

1. Write as often and much as you can, don’t let your laziness stop your dreams. Writing a lot not only make your blog seems more professional but useful so that will keep your readers coming back for more.

2. Read and comment in other people’s blogs. Don’t comment spam bloggers! That’s not going to be good for you to increase traffic; most people dislike spam and that explain you why you shouldn’t spam people in any possible way. I HATE SPAMMERS!

3. Submitting you blog to search engines such as Google and Yahoo will give you the chance of being picked up.

4. Use your blogroll. Adding a list of sites you like; many bloggers will likely reciprocate by including your blog on their own blogroll.

5. Submit your posts to Social Bookmarking Sites. More information about Social Bookmarking Sites here.
6. When using SEO (Search Engine Optimization) don’t forget to include images. Some people use the image search engine offered by Google, Yahoo, and others.

7. Join in forums, Webrings, and online groups that you’re interested in. Don’t forget of Social Networking such as Facebook, Myspace and some other Social Networkings. More about Social Networkings here.

8. Talk to your friends about your blog outside the blogosphere; add your blog to your E-mail’s signature; join chat rooms for bloggers.

9. Create your own logo so your blog will look more professional.

By following these steps don’t expect to generate thousands of views in just a few days. Increasing traffic to your blog doesn’t happen “before you can say Jack Robinson” It takes time and patience. Remember that patience is a virtue. So be patient!

This article might not contain something new for professionals seeking for more ideas, but a good “refresher” doesn’t sound bad. But if you’re new into the blogosphere this post might just be what the doctor ordered.

When it comes to promoting your blog on social networking websites, you have a number of different options. Your first option is to include a link to your blog in your community profile or profile page. This will allow other community members to checkout your blog, only if they wish to do so. The other way is to inform your online friends of your blog through private messages. Once you join a social networking website and create or join a network of friends, you should easily be able to communicate with those friends. Sending each of your friends a private message with information and a link to your blog tends to be more effective than just placing a link in your profile or on your profile page.

Although there is a good chance that you are already a member of a popular social networking website, you may not be. If you are not already a member, but would like to become one, you will need to find a social networking website to join. This can easily be done with a standard internet search. In your search, you will likely find a number of popular network sites, such as MySpace, Facebook, FriendFinder, Yahoo! 360, and Orkut. Before becoming a community member at one of these networking sites, you may want to first examine the website to ensure that it is everything that you want it to be. As you can easily see, there are a number of different ways that you can go about promoting your blog on online social networking websites. You never known, but, in addition to promoting your blog, you may also make new friends along the way.

Google Adsense

What is Google Adsense?

Google Adsense is an online advertising network. Adsense publishers generate revenues with their own websites or blogs; they can earn a certain amount of money on either a per-click or per-impression basis.
Ads appear on blogs, websites, RSS feeds, parked domains, browser-based games, search pages, and videos.

How does Google Adsense Work?

Google’s Adsense program is the best way to start making money with your own website or blog; it is 100% safe and is run by a big recognized company – Google Inc.
If you already have a blog or website you can easily sign up for an Adsense account by filling out a short application and agreeing to the Adsense program policies.
Once enrolled in this program, you are able to customize the ads that Google displays on your website or blog so they fit pleasantly with your site/blog. Advertisements come in text and image ads in various sizes, fonts and colors.

How to set up Adsense on your website?

This is a very helpful video that I found on youtube I hope you like it find it useful.

What Exactly Is a Blog?

What exactly is a blog?

In the post – How to make money from home without being scammed, I talked about some of the three basics questions, I want to talk about them and other subjects more specifically?

What exactly  is a blog?

Many people might think that a blog is just a simple journal of your personal thoughts, but I personally believe that a blog is not only a simple journal that is available on the web, where people just write their personal thoughts. A blog is whatever you want it to be, it does not have to be about your own personal thoughts; it can be your personal diary, a breaking-news outlet or how I said before – whatever you want it to be. There are no rules to write a blog.

In simple terms, a blog is basically an online journal or simply another type of website, the activity of updating a blog is “blogging” and someone who maintain a blog is a “blogger” typically its postings are arranged in chronological order – New stuff shows up at the top.

Here a video that explain very clearly what is a blog.
I hope you like it and enjoy it!

A  Brief History of Blogging

Many people who are not familiar with the Internet they think that blogging was created since the internet started (I hear that sometimes). While others think that the Internet is a recent invention, the Internet has been around since 1957. But anyways, this is not the history of the internet what I’m going to say is a brief history of blogging. Believe it or not, blogging has been around for over ten years – not so long but for the tech world is an eternity.

The word blog is just a combination of the term web log. If you’re a blogger you probably have an idea of what and how blogs work, but for those who are not familiar, a blog is another type of a website that allows individuals publish and maintain content. Blogs display content (entries) in reverse-chronological order. Interactive blogs allow visitors to leave comments and even messages on the blog.

Make Money Blogging Not By Being Scammed

If you have been flirting with the idea of making money from home, because you have seen or heard a lot of people talking about it and want to start doing the same, I encourage you first to read this post - so please keep reading and let me tell you why.

"Making money from home" sounds great doesn't it? Yes! It definitely does and it is totally true but it is not as easy as it seems to be. To cover all the bases I want to start with some of the most common questions that might be rolling through your mind.

How do I make money from home?
Where do I start?
How much money will I make?

I'm pretty sure there are a whole bunch of questions that you may have, but we're going to cover the most important things that a beginner like you must know in order to start making money like a pro. First of all, I want to tell you before we start, that there are some things you might already know, but I would like to remind that not everything in this magical world is quite what it seems.
There are many ways to make money online, but there are also many scammers trying to steal your money and personal information - BE CAREFUL! Scammers are everywhere and come to you in many forms - by mail. E-mail, telephone, door-to-door, and most currently... Over the internet.

Knowing the most infamous scams will help you become a good online money maker and reduce the chances of being scammed. i wouldn't be surprised(they're everywhere) if some of you have already experienced some of them. Here the top 5 infamous scams:

1. Chain Letters - These are pretty much just another type of undesirable spam in your inbox. They try to convince you to recopy the letter and then send it to everyone you know; they offer you good luck or money.

2. Business opportunities - These types of schemes we all have seen before. "Work-at-home - earning $100,000 in just one month" (Don't worry I'm from the internet).

3. Credit Repair - They guarantee you to help you fix your credit. But they generally just want your money.

4. Free goods - "Congratulations you have won a million dollars" " You have won a FREE laptop" (too good to be true).

5. Vacation prizes - "You have won a trip to the Bahamas - Congratulations" (Scheming Crafty Aggressive Malicious - Be $camsmart).

There are so many more to list. Hopefully, we'll talk about them in future updates. Now that I have refreshed you memory a little bit about scammers, I am going to give you a short explanation on how to work from home without being scammed.

Let's talk about the first question mentioned before - How do I make money from home?
You can make money blogging, one of the best ways to make money and be your own boss. (Assuming that you have a blog already)

CPC programs - (cost-per-click)
Google Adsense - basically they display ads on your blog according to its content.
Chitika - (I highly recommend Chitika they also provide CPL Cost-per-lead).

CPM ad networks - (Cost per thousand impressions also called cost per mile) some similar companies include:
Casale Media.
Buzzlogic.
Veremedia.
Adsdaq.
Adify.
Adbrite.

Instead of paying per click, they pay per the total number of impressions.

Where do I start?
You can start with blogger, Wordpress, Typepad, Livejournal, and Thoughts.com. I encourage you to start with Google Adsense first; once you have an understanding of what blogging is you can move to your own domain name.

How much money will I make?
Nobody can give you the exact answer. The earnings are based on the number of page impressions and clicks. So, the most visitors you get, the more you can expect to earn.
Therefore, I recommend that you buy a really good book, which is the one that helped me, start making money blogging. this book will take you from a beginner to a professional blogger.
